HAMPSTEAD CHRYSANTHEMUMS.
THE LIST OF AWARDS. The Hampstead Chrysanthemum Flo Aver Show held in the Ashburton East School to-day Avas a marked success, there being a large number of entries and a good attendance during the afternoon.
The quality of the blooms Avas excellent, some fine examples being entered. The cooking and handwork included articles of merit.
The judges were: Chrysanthemum and decorative section, Mr H. Williams (Christchurch); vegetables, Mr A. J. Breakwell; fruit, Mr A. J. Millichamp; adults’ liandAvork, Mrs Husband; school section —writing and drawing, Miss E. Parson; cookery, Mr S. Madden; hobies, Mr A. T. Smith.' The show was officially opened by Mr E. H. Childs. The children’s fancy dress procession from the Post Office, led by the Ashburton Salvation Army Band, made a colourful spectacle. Prizes for fancy dresses Avere aAvarded as follows:
