Aircraftman A. G. Welsh, son of Mi and Mrs W. G. Welsh, of Havelock Street, Ashburton, who is serving with the Royal New Zealand Air Force in the Pacific, lias, been promoted to Leading Aircraftman, according to information received by his parents.

Tlie Rev. R. G. Bycroft, of NorthEast Valley Baptist Church, Dunedin, will arrive ift Ashburton to-morrow to conduct evangelic mission services at the Baptist Church next week. The Rev. J. Browning will conduct services at the North-East Valley Baptist Church on Sunday.

After nearly 30 years’ service with the Midland Co-operative Dairy Company, Mr L. R. Clarke (secretary and general manager) has resigned his position, to take effect as from June 30. At. a meeting of the directors yesterday the resignation was accepted with regret. Members of the Board made eulogistic reference to Mr Clarke’s extensive knowledge of the dairying industry and his long service with the company.
