(Rec. 12.55) CALCUTTA, Nov. 17. In the fortnight ended last Saturday the police picked up 1113 bodies of destitute persons from the streets and 1014 destitute persons died in hospital. In the same period the Corporation recorded 3835 deaths from all causes, compared with 1290 for the corresponding fortnight last year.
