DRILL DISPLAY.
A display of physical drill was given to inmates of Tuarangi Home by members of the keep-fit class of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary and No. 24 Squadron Air Training Corps, Ashburton last evening. The display, which was greatly appreciated included a waltz rhythm, ballet, skipping dance, Swedish form exercises by the keep-fit class, and a squadron fallin, exercises on the vaulting horse and parallel bars and tumbling by the Air Training Corps boys. Pyramids by both the keep-fit class and the A.T.C. concluded the display. A pianoforte solo was given by Mr G. A. Massey and cornet and vocal solos by Mr C. Duckworth. The master of the Home (Mr N. W. Corbett) thanked the performers.
Supper was served, and dancing followed. Mrs Owen was the pianist and Corporal P. Vincent was master of ceremonies.
