OBITUARY.
COLONEL ALBERT SCOTNEY. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Colonel Albert Scotney, a retired officer of the Salvation Army, is dead. For 10 years he was in Victoria, Queensland and Tasmania, and was then transferred to New Zealand, where he was appointed to social wofk. He managed boys’ homes, first at Island Bay and then at Eltham, and in 1920 Avas appointed Men’s Social Secretary, Avliere a. special feature of his work Avas his interest in, and labour for, prisoners. In 1924 he Avas appointed Property Secretary. Colonel Scotney leaves a widoAV, son (a naval officer) and a daughter (Mrs Boudinct, of Christchurch).
