ALONG THE BURMA FRONT. RIVER AND LAND OBJECTIVES (Rec. 10.53 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 14. A communique issued in India says: “Active patrolling continues along the Burma front, particularly in the Arakan and Chin hill sectors. During.the last two weeks our forward troops had a number of clashes with the enemy a few miles north of Maungdaw, in all of which the enemy suffered casualties and was forced to retire. In the Chin hills our patrols at slight cost to themselves inflicted many casualties on the enemy in the Kalemyo area, and; there were clashes also further south, in the vicinity of Falam Enemy-occupied villages and positions in the Kalemyo sector were the objectives of Royal Air Force fighterbombers and dive-bombers on Saturday. Bursts were seen among the buildings and huts and the targets were machine-gunned after the bombing.
