GOITRE TREATMENT.
NEW ZEALAND’S RESEARCH. (P.A.) DUNEDIN, This Day. Dr. C. E. Hercus (Dean of the Medical School), commenting on the report in the “Lancet” that the new sulphur compound for the treatment of goitre was the result of work by American and New Zealand researches, expressed pleasure that New Zealand was given credit. Actually, said Dr. Hercus, the first publication of the details of the treatment was made in New Zealand. He added that lie wished to pay tribute to the research work done by’ Mr T. H. Kennedy at the Otago Medical School.
