WORLD’S LARGEST.
NEW AMERICAN FLYING-BOAT. 32-HOUR ENDURANCE FLIGHT.
(Rec. 9.45) WASHINGTON, Oct. 10. The world’s largest flying-boat, “Martin Mars,” has just completed a 32-hour endurance flight covering 4600 miles, approximately the distance from Baltimore to Berlin, with 22 passengers. The Martin Mars flew a test course between Baltimore and New York landing with enough petrol for several hours more flying. The aircraft will he used as a transport.
