WOMEN’S DIVISION.
MEETING AT SEAFIELD. ~ There was a large gathering at the October meeting of the Seafield branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union. An urgent appeal for more scrap rubber was received from the Canterbury Reclamation Board. Miss. N'. Bemrison reported on a recent meeting of the Mid-Canterbury Executive. A bring-and-buy realised 10s 7d. Garments for the Merchant Navy were handed in, and more wool was distributed.
A competition was won by Mrs R Martin.
The hostesses were Mesdames A Bennison and Mrs J. Gregory. Mrs H. Driscoll presided.
