DISMISSAL OF SCRIMGEOUR, (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Wellington Trades Council,' at a mooting on Wednesday, 90 delegates being .present, carried a resolution, six voting against it: “That this meeting of the Wellington Trades Council, representing 36,000 trades unionists, after having carefully considered a report submitted by Mr A. McLagan (president of the Federation of Labour) in connection with the dismissal of Mr Scrimgoour (Controller of Commercial Broadcasting) is satisfied that no person lias at any time boon given more consideration than the Controller of Commercial Broadcasting was given before the action taken. That action was taken only after every factor had been examined; that the Prime Minister and Government were, on the evidence, submitted, compelled in the interests of the good-government of the Dominion, to follow the course taken, and that the evidence submitted showed that dismissal was fully warranted.”
