WAR PENSIONS BOARD.

MR 'H. F. O’LEARY AS CHAIRMAN

(P'.A.) WELLINGTON, April 28. The Acting-Minister of Defence (the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser) announced tonight that Mi* H. F. O’Leary, K.C., of Wellington, bad agreed to accept the chairmanship of the War Pensions Appeal Board during the temporary absence of the Hon. Sir Francis Frazer, who has relinquished the position of chairman while lie is chairman of the Goods Services Charges Tribunal.* • Mr Fraser expressed pleasure at Mr O’Leary’s acceptance of the position, and added that the duties of the War Pensions Appeal Board were becoming more important as the number of returned men increased.

It is understood that Mr O’Leary will take, up bis new duties when the Appeal Board begins its session in Wellington next Monday.
