WATER SOLD AS WHISKY. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 28. A sentence of two months’ imprisonment with hard labour was imposed by Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., on a sider, Richard Jones, aged 63, for selling a bottle of what the police stated was pure water to a Marine for 10 dollars and 30s, equivalent to -G4 10s lOd. It was labelled as whisky.
