NEW AI RCR AFT-CAR RI EH LONDON, April 28. ono< of Britain’s newest. aircraftcaiTiers, H.M.&. Indomitable, has been in service for several months. She formed part of the escort of the vital convoy to .Malta last August, and later carried badly needed fighters to Ceylon.
The Indomitable, which is of 23.000 tons, carries a crew of 1600. Her armament consists of 1(> -Coin guns. The number of aircraft carried is still a I'ioerot, hut the machines are Seafires. the naval equivalent of the Spitfires, and Albacore torpedo bombers.
