THE ALFORD FOREST BRANCH.
The report presented to the annual meeting of the Alford Forest branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, at which Mrs Quantock presided, revealed a year of great activity, especially in war work. Officers elected were President, Mrs V. McLean; vice-presidents, Mesdames R. Grigg, L. Cant, and A. Grigg; advisory committee, Mesdames McLean and Scott; secretary and treasurer, Mrs R. J. Biddick; committee, Mesdames Bufton, E. Grigg, Mcßae, Hicks, senr., McFarlane, and Hicks, Jun.; delegates, Mesdames McLean, Cant, and Biddick; competition secretary, Miss A. Hicks; sales table, Miss Harrison; press reporter, Mrs Clay.
