MISTY RAIN FALLS. Following the southerly change yesterday, overcast conditions with misty rain set in and, the atmosphere became cooler. Rain continued in the night and again to-day, the fall up to 0 o’clock this morning being 12 points. Maximum and minimum temperatures yesterday were 52.4 and 40.9 degrees, compared with 72.3 and 50 degrees on Monday. The barometer to-day stood at 30.18 inches, against 29.98 inches yesterday. TO-DAY'S FORECAST. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. . The forecast? for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows: Moderate easterly to north-easterly winds,' fresh at times on the coast.
