PATRIOTIC FUNDS.
FREE FRENCH OFFICIAL’S GIFT. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 7. A cheque for £3O as a contribution to New Zealand patriotic funds, has been received by the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, from M. De La Tribouille, political adviser to the Free French High Commissioner in the Pacific, as “my own small contribution in return for the generous welcome 1 have received in this country. ’ Acknowledging the gift, Mr Fraser' said that this thoughtful and generous act would be appreciated by all New Zealanders.
