PROPOSED MERGING.
MT. SOMERS PAROCHIAL AREA. The Ven. Archdeaeon A. J. Petrie has accepted an invitation of the Mount Somers Parochial Vestry to attend the annual meeting of parishioners on Monday evening to discuss the Standing Committee’s proposals for the merging of the Mount Somers Parish into the Methven, Ashburton and Hinds Parishes, owing to war conditions and the shortage of clergy.
