ST. JAMES THEATRE. A special throe-star bill will bo presented to-night and Friday, commencing at 7.45 p.m. and again at the matinee at 2 p.m. on Friday with the final chapter of the thrilling serial, “The Drums of Fu Manehn.” A thrilling picture of transport drivers, “They Drive By Night,” relates the adventure,s of the all-night lorry drivers who travel the trunk roads of England. Emlyn Williams has the leading role as a young convict who. wrongly accused of murder, takes to the roads to avoid capture. Ann Konstan has the feminine lead, and the picture will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
Lupe Velez and Leon Errol are teamed again in “Mexican Spitfire Out West,” which is even faster and funnier than their previous “Mexican Spitfire,” which won special praise from critics everywhere for the furious pace of its fun. Lupe Velez is again the fiery Carmolita. Leon Errol gives four •impersonations—Uncle Matt, Lord Epping, Uncle Matt as Lord Epping, and a cockney servant. Donald Woods is the harassed husband of Carmelita. Elisabeth Risdon is Uncle Matt’s shrewdish wife, and Cecil Kellaway is Lord Epping’s business advisor.
