BRANCH SECEDES.

DEMOCRATIC LABOUR PARTY. (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 23. A decision to disaffiliate from the Democratic Labour Party was carried with one dissenting vote at a meeting this week of the. Auckland Central branch of the party. For some time, the secretary stated, the branch had made attempts to have the constitution amended so as to afford a l«-.r greater extension ot rank and lile authority and power. The resolution was as follows; “That the branch considers that conditions are not favourable to any activities relative to parochial and national movements. We therefore move that this branch disaffiliates from the Democratic Labour Party. The methods and actions of the Democratic: Labour Party in carrying out its activities are viewed by us with seriousness and alarm from the future political outlook of this Dominion, owing to its Fascist tendencies. Unless activities are directed along constructive channels it is but a reflection of misdirected energy.”
