WOMAN DROWNED.

UNUSUAL CIRCUMSTANCES. OVERCOME BY FAINTING TURN. (P.A.) GORE, This Day. Mrs Evelyn Howard Williams, aged 33, wife of Second-Lieutenant Davis Williams, of Otonc, Hawke’s Bay, lost, her life in unusual circumstances at the home of her father. Mr George Pinckney, Glenaray Station, Waikaia, yesterday afternoon. Mrs Williams iiad been working in the garden near the Waikaia River, and went down to the bank for a drink. She was found some time later on a bank with her head partially submerged in water. Apparently she had been overcome by a fainting turn when she lowered her head to drink, and was drowned. Mrs Williams was married three months ago.
