TWO FRENCHMEN TORTURED. TWO OTHERS ALSO SHOT. (Bee. 11.25 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 21. It is reported from Geneva that the Germans in December executed two prominent French iLahour leaders, Gabriel Peri and Lucien Sampen. Both were tortured, but refused to give information concerning the French underground movement. A Paris message reports that the Germans to day shot two Frenchmen convicted of activity oi invoicing the onomv.
7n Vichy four officers of the French ship Formigny wore sentenced to death in absentia on charges of preventing the captain to resist British forces who seized the vessel off Portugal on .December 12.
