SOUTH AMERICA AND THE AXIS. (Roe. 1.45. NEW YORK, Jan. 20. The Rio do Janeiro correspondent of the “New York Times” says that the resolution for severance .of relations with the Axis will ho approved this week, regardless of whether Argentina and Chile join with the rest of the Hemisphere on this issue. It is repotted from Tokio that the Japanese Government lias issued a statement warning South American countries against breaking off relations with Japan “in blind accession to the United States.”
