Replying in the House of Commons to a question about the defence of the Far Fast the Under-Secretary lor ar said that all material was. so far as possible, destroyed bo tore the Britisn troops had withdrawn from the Kowloon Peninsula. In particular extensile demolitions wore carried out at the Kowloon dockyard, it was unlortunntoly impossible to destroy one oil instnllation owing to the proximity ol the largo civil hospital hut all the rest were destroyed.—British Official Y\ ireless.
