-LEAVING TOBRUK FOR RUSSIA ■VJ V,\ 1:7 '•; i- ■ TEHERAN, November 28. ' I'General Sikorski, the Polish Prime Minister, on the eve of liis departure to meet M. Stalin, said he had seen ■ilritish divisions in action in Libya, and be was fully confident of their vietory. • He added that the British had agreed •to the-withdrawal of the Polish contingent from Tobruk, so that it could be mechanised in preparation for linking up with the Polish forces in Russia. Fifty thousand British uniforms and firearms had already been distributed to Polish soldiers in Russia, he said, and a further 110,000 were now arriving. Further Polish forces were training in Canada. A mechanised unit had already been ’formed in Scotland. Poland, now had an air force twice the strength it had in 1939.
