FARMERS’ UNION.
MID-CANTERBURY EXECUTIVE. The Mid-Canterbury Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union met this afternoon, the president (Mr it. - G-. Gerard) presiding. It was decided to send a letter of sympathy to Mr Keith Campbell on the death of his father; also to Mr M. P. Burnett, M.P., who is at present ill. A letter from the committee of the National Savings Scheme asking the union to give it support, was received. The president stressed the v'a-lue of the scheme. It was stated that the Canterbury Chamber of (Commerce hdd sent two bulletins on sheep dipping and members decided to give these consideration.
