ATKINS BEATS CORBETT. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, October 20. A wrestling match to decide the rubber between Fred Atkins and Joe Corbett was a fast and furious exposition, of all-in wrestling. Atkins took the first fall with a Boston crab in the fourth round, and Corbett evened with a hammerlock in the sixth. The seventh round opened with an, offensive by Corbett, but Atkins took the match with a dump and a body press. BLOMFIELD BEATS SINGH, (PA.) AUCKLAND, October 21. A professional, wrestling contest between “Lofty” Blomfield, of Auckland, and Jaget Singh, of India, was won by Blomfield, who obtained the only fall in the filth round, a submission to an octopus clamp.
