LETTER TO EDITOR.

MUNICIPAL TEPID BATHS.

Sir, —Your excellent leader of Wed--nesday, “Deaths by Drowning,” prompts me to make a suggestion, that the building partly destroyed by fire known as the Majestic Theatre, would make an excellent municipal tepid swimming bath. Several people have said to me, “what could be done with that building turn it into flats,” etc., but this seems to. me the best use it could be made of, it being so admirably adapted. If our Council could procure it cheaply and the swimming and lifesaving organisations took the matter up, we could have all the year round activities in this particular sport instead of the few months at present, of forbiddingly cold water and hidden risks. W. .T. BROWN.
