ALFORD FOREST. Mrs V. Maclean presided at the monthly meeting of the Alford Forest branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union. Mrs J. Quantock, of Mayiield, gave an address. Competitions resulted: —Cake, Mrs R. L. Cant 1, Mrs L. Hicks, jun., 2, Mrs J. R,. Grigg and Mrs L. Hicks, sen. (equal) 3; pickles, Miss I. Durran 1, Mrs R. L. Cant 2, Mrs J. R. Grigg and Mrs E. T. Grigg (equal) 3: leeks, Miss I. Durran 1, Mrs R. L. Cant 2'; bloom, Mrs Ei. T. Grigg 1, Mrs L. Hicks, jun., 2, Mrs R. L. Can’t 3.
