SATISFACTORY RECRUITING. (P.A.) AUCKLAND, September 7. Complete satisfaction with the result of the week’s recruiting for youths of ages between 16J- and 18 for the Air Training Corps was expressed when the campaign closed on Saturday. In all, approximately .300 applications for enrolment were made, and this is considered by the Air Force authorities to be an excellent beginning for the recruiting campaigns to be held throughout New Zealand.
With .500 members already enrolled in the Auckland Squadron, the campaign will ensure that Auckland units are particularly strong. Those who enrolled during the week will he advised shortly to appear before a selection board, and after medical examination will begin the courses, which are to start as soon as possible.
