10,000 TROOPS ON BORDER.

TANKS AND LIGHT ARTILLERY. SUPPLIES BY 50 TRANSPORTS. (Roc. 9.30 a.m.) SHANGHAI, Aug. G. Military intelligence reports that 10,000 of the 40,000 Japanese troops in Southern Indo-China ‘ are at present garrisoning the' Thailand border. Most of them are young troops inter-mixed with veterans from the war with China and are equipped with some tanks and light artillery. They have also begun instruction at bomber aerodromes.
