VERY MILD AGAIN.
BAROMETER STILL FALLING Very mild conditions continued in Ashburton to-day, when the sky was again dull. Maximum and minimum temperatures yesterday were 54.0 and 45.3 degrees respectively compared with 50.8 and 31.8 degrees on Tuesday. The barometer read 29.G1 inches this morning, having fallen again since yesterday. THE MONTH AT RUAPUNA. The rainfall recorded at the Ruapuna School in July was 2£ inches. During the week-end there was a light fall of snow. TO-DAY’S FORECAST (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows: — Moderate to strong north westerly winds, weather cloudy and mild, with rain in the ranges. Further outlook: Southerly or souvnwesterly change in the week-end.
