CHRISTMAS PARCELS.

FOR THE MEN OVERSEAS. ASHBURTON COUNTY’S SHARE. ' The Ashburton County’s quota, of the next shipment of parcels for members of the overseas forces will be about 550, according to a statement made this morning by the County Clerk. Mr Kelly added that no special appeal would be made to meet the cost of these parcels, the expense being met out of funds raised in the Million Pound All Purposes Appeal. Canterbury’s quota for this batch of parcels is 6700. It is anticipated that they will be ready for shipment from Wellington about September 15. These are Christmas parcels, it is stated.
