A REVIVAL.
TABLE TENNIS IN ASHBURTON. The revival of table tennis in Ash w burton Was considered at a meeting of 20 representatives of nine prospective clubs on Saturday evening. It was decided to foi’m an association to be known as the Ashburton Table Tennis Association and to hold a further meeting on Tuesday evening to be attended by two representatives from each club desires to join the Association.
Mr A. Calder (Physical Welfare Officer under the Department of Internal Affairs), Avho convened the meeting, presided and Mr E. Earl (Railway) Avas elected secretary pro tern.
A vote of thanks was passed to Mr A. Calder for presiding and for the interest he was taking in the sport. 1
