CONSOLIDATED FUND DROPS. SECURITY REVENUE INCREASES. WAR FUND EXPENDITURE. DOUBLED. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Minister of Finance (the Hon. W. Nash) to-day released details of the ordinary revenue account of the Consolidated Fund, Social Security Fund, and the War Expenses Account for the first three months of the current financial year. The revenue for the quarter totalled £7,035,000, compared with £8,385,000 for the same period last year; and the expenditure amounted to £6,280,000, compared with £7,282,020. Mr Nash said: “The figures on the whole are quite satisfactory.” Discussing the expenditure, the Minister said that provision Avas > made for the transfer of £1,500,000 to the Warexpenses.
