REMODELLING ON R.A.F. DESIRED * ” r (United Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, August 1. The aeronautical correspondent of “The Daily Mail,” who is visiting the United States, says that General Arnold and other American air observers who recently returned from Britain started a strong agitation for the remodelling of United States air corps on the lines of the Royal Air Force and they- want to make a big independent air force instead of the •present army and navy air commands. Some of these 1 are of the opinion that the complete independence of the Royal Air Force from the British Army proved the most vital factor in the Battle of Britain.
