INTERNED REFUGEES.
TO RETURN FROM CANADA. 88,000 HAVE LEFT BRITAIN (United Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, July 31. It is revealed in Parliamentary answer that authority was given for 308 interned refuses to be returned to the United Kingdom from Canada, and 173 from Australia. Some 891 persons have already been brought back from Canada, and 196 are now on their way from Australia.'! These figures were given by the Home Secretary (Mr Herbert Morrison) who said that since the war began 88,000 aliens had been given permission to leave Britain, of whom about 52,000 had embarked for European ports.—British Official Wireless.
