COMMAND DISOBEYED.
REFUSAL TO WEAR UNIFORM GUNNER COURT-MARTIALLED (P.A.) AUCKLAND', August 1. At a District court martial to-day Beniamin Brownrigg, of the 9th Heavy Battery, N.Z.A., was charged with disobeying in a wilful manner a ( command given by his superior officer to wear the King’s uniform. Evidence was given as to the accused’s sincerity in sticking to his religious belief. The decision of the court martial has to be confirmed by the -officer convening the court before it- can be promulgated.
