CLAIM BY THE FINNS.
OCCUPATION OF TERRITORY. RUSSIAN ATTEMPT REPULSED. LONDON, July 30. A Finnish communique claims that Finnish troops occupied in a fortnight territory eastward from Lake Ladoga greater than the Russians captured m , 1039. It adds that they have taken the north-east coast of Lake Ladoga as far as Taulos, which is 20 miles north-west of Olonez, as-well as two raihvays on the north-west coast of Lake Ladoga. The enemy, it states, attempted to disembark troops and retake the railways but wore repulsed and left nearly 1000 dead.
