FOREIGN PRESSURE DENIED.

THE POSITION OF THAILAND. “NO FEAR OF INVASION.” * (United Press Association-Copyright.) LONDON, July 30. A communique issued by the T.hai Government in Bangkok stated, that Thailand is not being subjected-to military or economic pressure from any foreign Power and; is not worried about being invaded. The communique added that Thailand’s foreign policy is to maintain equal friendship with all nations, to preservo peace and trade with all nations, and- not to participate in any foreign disputes. It was earlier reported that the Japanese radio had opened a campaign against Thailand similar to that which preceded the occupation of French Indo-China.

A broadcast from Tokio alleged that British troops were moving toward the Thailand frontier, while warships were lying off the coast.- British residents, it was stated, were leaving. Britain was exerting Strong pressure 6ii ; Thailand, and this fact was linked up with the presence of a Thai military, mission in Malaya,/ where conferences were held with the British Comman-der-in-Chief.
