RED CROSS SOCIETY.
METHVEN AND WINCHMORE, A course of first-aid lectures under the order of St, John Ambulance and the Red Cross Society has been concluded at Winchmore, the lecturer being Dr. E. C. Brown. The Methven V.A.D.’s conducted a successful sale of produce at the Red Cross shop, which realised £G 2s 6d, the section leader being Miss E. Lemon, and Miss M. Shearer as secretary. The Methven Lady Galway Sewing Guild run by the Red Cross has completed 250 adults' and children’s garments. The boxes of clothing have been sent to Ashburton centre for packing for o\erseas.
