AIRGRAPH LETTERS.
FIRST MAIL REACHES LONDON.

Eighty-five thousand airgraph letters from the Middle East have been received hy the Post Office in London and will* he delivered throughout the country during tho next few. days. These 85,000 tiny, photo-letters weigh 201 b. The weight of an equivalent number of ordinary letters would he nearly one and a half tons. The airgraph mail was flown all the way from the Middle East and only nine davs have elapsed since its dispatch. The first hatch of letters tinder the scheme was received last Tuesday and totalled 50,000 microfilms. Later it is hoped to institute a similar service from Britain to sailors, soldiers, and airmen serving in the Middle East.
