1997 ENTRIES FOR NEXT WEEK. SOME VERY LARGE CLASSES. Entries for tho Mayfield Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s show which is to be held, on Saturday of next, week total 1997, compared with 2028 last year and 1781 in 1939, but it is believed that there will be several latq entries that will lift the total oyer tho highly satisfactory 2000 mark. Some classes show a slight falling off but there are increases in other sections. The most noticeable decrease is in light horses, which have always been a feature of the Mayfield show. Cattle have doubled in number, but ponies have fallen off to a largo extent. In tho farm produce, juvenile cookery, flower, juvenile needlework and competitions sections there are increases.
