SWIMMING.
THE ALLENTON CLUB. Because several of its officers are members of the Home Guard, which parades on Thursday evenings, the committee of the Allenton District Swimming Club last evening decided that the club carnivals should be held on Wednesday evenings, and the opening carnival was fixed for 18. Mr W. James presided over the meeting. The treasurer reported that there was a. satisfactory ci’edit balance. Representatives to the' Swimming Centre reported that the club bad been granted 1 Saturday, February 1, 1941, as the date for its annual carnival.
