He hit 17 fours. The other was made by C. G. Hamilton for Old Collegians against Lancaster Park. He batted for two and threequarter hours and hit eight fours. Old (Hamilton 109) beat Lancaster Park 137 (Williams three for 17, J. C. Saunders three for 18, Macfarlane two for four) on the first innings.

Army 169 (Mulcock four for 74, O’Brien two for 21) beat St. Albans 160 (Cresswell five for 37, Cutler two for 20) on the first innings.

Old Boys 173 (Baxter '67, McCracken seven for 75) beat Wigram 81 (Escott three for 12, Graham two for 29) on the first innings. Sydenham 216 for. six declared (Oliver 53, F. Kerr 50, Brown three for 53, Shirley two for 35) drew with West Christchurch 126. for five (Ager 48 not out, Burgess two for 35). East Christchurch 212 for five (Kennedy 112 not out, Waine 43 not out, Allan two for 39) beat Harewood 194 (Allan 63, Kennedy six for 38) on the first innings.

Riccarton 190 for seven declared, Besley two for 30) drew with West Old Boys 111 for five (Moynihan 41, Taylor-Ca-nnon three for 42).
