THE LOCAL COMPETITIONS.
SOME GOOD PERFORMANCES. In a. chanceless knock on the Domain Oval on Saturday, B. Doig (Ashburton Old Boys) compiled 107 not out in a match against Kia Ora. This match, like the one between Technical and United, at Methven, was drawn. Both were interrupted by the rain. At Methven, M. Wall, aided by the wicket, took seven United wickets for 27 runs. Tinwald and Lauriston had wins in the junior competition. B. McKenzie (Tinwald) scored a forceful 105 not out against United, while J. A. Mackie was to the fore in a match between High School and Lauriston with 75 not out.
