USE OF FOREIGN SUPPLIES. QUESTION OF FUTURE NEEDS. (United Press Association—-Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) WASHINGTON., November 29. The Department of Commerce in an analysis of the wool requirements of United States defence, said that the decision to permit the use of foreign avool Avas reassuring, but “it should be remembered that future requirements are expected to be smaller than the current demand. At present it was hecessary to provide complete initial equipment, also subsistence reserves, Avhile the future need Avould be only for replacement.” Officials are of opinion that the Avoollen industry will absorb the military purchase programme at slight- inconvenience for civil buyers. ... It is knoAvn that ample supplies from the current clip are available in the southern hemisphere. Present indications are that sufficient avool for all normal operations is available, but in the event of difficulties of supplies at reasonable prices, the Commission will not hesitate to act as may s&em neces-t sary.
