HEALTH CAMP.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR JANUARY.
MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE. Donations amounting to nearly £2O have been received by th© Ashburton Health Camp’ Committee, it was. reported at a meeting yesterday afternoon. Th© chairman (Mir E. C. Bathurst) presided at the meeting. Advice was received from the Ashburton Rotary Club and the County Council offering to transport equipment and children respectively to the camp. . * The Christchurch Central Council wrote stating that the Dominion Advisory Board was giving a subsidy this year of £2 for every £1 collected.
It was decided to purchase a number of stretchers. The list of 25 children selected for the camp by the doctors of Ashburton was approved.
Mr T. Watt was thamlced for the use of his office for various activities.
It was decided to establish a dlepot at Mr Watt’s office, where produce may be left while the camp is in progress. Final arrangements were madle for the staff of the camp, which will he held as usual at the Methven District High tS'chool, from January 6 to 31. A motion of sympathy was carried with the relatives of th© late Dr. G. I. Miller.
