SHANGHAI, November *27
The Domei News Agency message from Eastern Hupeh Province . states that a four-pronged Japanese offensive from bases west of the Han River Valey threatens to encircle 800,000 Chinese troops. Other Japanese forces north-west of Hupeh on Sunday defeated two Chinese divisions.
The message added that 1461 Chinese have been killed and much booty captured in Anwliei Province since Saturday.
