VICTORIOUS LIVING.
]f the blessing of God is interpreted in terms of ease and protection, then the conclusion must be that the greatest lives have gone unblessed, Writes the Rev. Sidney M. Berry, secretary of the English Congregational Union. That is the’answer to all those who in varying ways are led to doubt God’s Providence because life has shown to them its rough edge. Faith must be refined from the dross of selfishness before it can stand up to the shocks of life. But when it is refined to those baser elements it is l the secret of victorious living. It is only the superficial interpretation of faith which breaks down in a world like this. Tlie true interpretation remains', and nothing can shake it.
