WAIREKA BEATS METHVEN. The Waireka Croquet Club defeated Methven in a “B” flag match at Methven by 5 to 3. Details are (Waireka names first): —- Doubles—S. K. Martin and Mrs Turton beat Mesdames Ayres and Burrows 26-18; Mesdames Mclnnes and Arthur beat Mesdames Stewart and Adams 28-24; Mesdames Mitchell and Macfarlane beat Mesdames Rawlinson and Walker 26-6, Singles—B. K. Martin beat Mrs Ayres 26-20; 'Mrs Turton lost to Mrs Burrows 18-26; Mrs Arthur beat Mrs Adams 26-15; Mrs Mitchell lost to Mrs Rawlinson 4-26; Mrs Mclnnes lost to Mrs Stewart 2-26; (Mrs Macfarlane beat Mrs Walker 20-10 (unfinished).

METHVEN BEATS TEMUKA. The Methven Croquet Club’s'senior team visited Temuka and played a match against that club in the South Canterbury Croquet Association’s “A”' flag competition. The game resulted in a win for Methven by seven games to two.
